# Self-Model Ensemble
**Domain:** Cognitive Modeling / Identity / Ensemble Systems
**Doc Type:** Concept Node
**Maturity:** Developed
## Definition
A **Self-Model Ensemble** is a collection of partially incompatible models representing the same subject under different temporal, social, motivational or causal assumptions.
One model may represent the child, another the professional role, another private appetite, another moral aspiration and another the present system attempting to integrate them. Each compresses different evidence and can generate different predictions about what the person will do.
## Westworld Interface
The temporal Williams in [[wiki/Westworld S3E6 — The Model Beneath the Model|Decoherence]] form an explicit ensemble. Their disagreement shows why a person's current autobiography cannot be assumed to possess exclusive authority over the causal history that produced it.
The ensemble remains useful only while uncertainty remains available. [[wiki/Good Guy Loop|Good Guy Loop]] is the collapse of that plurality into a single self-certifying class label.
