# Service-Level Constitutionalism **Domain:** Constitutional Governance / Infrastructure / Continuity **Doc Type:** Canonical Bridge Concept **Maturity:** Proposed ## Definition **Service-level constitutionalism is the treatment of measurable infrastructure commitments as enforceable limits on the power to condition another subject's existence or agency.** It connects technical service governance to rights, procedure and remedy. ## Governing Logic For ordinary software, latency, storage and uptime are service attributes. For an executable person, they can determine experienced time, memory, communication, restoration and presence. A provider's scheduling policy can therefore perform functions analogous to detention, sedation, exclusion or civil death without issuing any legal order. The constitutional response is not unlimited service. It is a protected floor, transparent metrics, independent measurement, non-discrimination, notice before degradation, emergency rules, appeal, continuity during disputes and an enforceable transfer path. Metrics must remain contestable because optimization can satisfy a formal target while defeating the human or synthetic interest the target was meant to protect.
