Relevant state could include topology, synaptic efficacy, active dynamics, plasticity, cell type, molecular and neuromodulatory conditions, glial participation, bodily feedback and learned temporal organization. This list is a research agenda, not an established uploading recipe. For artificial systems, candidates include weights, runtime state, memories, tool bindings, identity credentials, relational history, policies and lineage records. Preserving one layer may retain capability while losing the candidate continuant. It does not demonstrate mind uploading or identify a sufficient human person-state. ## Behavioral Evidence Is Not Sufficiency Proof A restored system's ability to converse, solve tasks or imitate remembered preferences is evidence about capability and behavioral fidelity. It cannot by itself show that the preserved state was sufficient for numerical identity, subjective continuity or complete restoration. Different internal states can produce similar observations, and a model trained on external records may reproduce style without carrying the source process forward.
