Relevant state could include topology, synaptic efficacy, active dynamics, plasticity, cell type, molecular and neuromodulatory conditions, glial participation, bodily feedback and learned temporal organization. This list is a research agenda, not an established uploading recipe. For artificial systems, candidates include weights, runtime state, memories, tool bindings, identity credentials, relational history, policies and lineage records. Preserving one layer may retain capability while losing the candidate continuant.
