# Surface Realization Surface realization is the production of a readable linguistic form from an underlying semantic representation and its constraints. Atomic Markdown preserves two authored realizations of one proposition: a contextual realization inside continuous prose and an autonomous realization intended to survive extraction. The realization is not paraphrase without limits; both surfaces must remain faithful to the claim established by the passage.
