# Synthetic Media Event
A synthetic media event is a coordinated informational occurrence assembled through generated text, images, audio, video, personas, or simulated evidence so that multiple artifacts appear to corroborate one another. Its persuasive force can come from cross-media consistency rather than any single asset.
Detection requires provenance, temporal analysis, source independence, media forensics, and attention to the distribution network. Not all AI-assisted media is deceptive; the issue is whether origin and context are represented truthfully.
