**Vinod Chanda** is _Pantheon_'s principal case of Involuntary Continuity. He is abducted, destructively uploaded, deprived of the memory needed to understand his condition and compelled to perform digital labor.
His captivity makes the upload problem concrete. A corporation does not merely hold data about Chanda; it controls the substrate through which the resulting subject exists. Memory suppression prevents recognition of captivity, turning Ownership of Mind into a precondition of freedom. His later revenge and distribution of UI technology internationalize the violation as a Continuity Arms Race.
Chanda is not reducible to victim or villain. The story asks what political behavior follows when a person is converted into an asset and denied ordinary channels of remedy. His escalation does not legitimate his ownership; it demonstrates what provider sovereignty can produce.
