It is a scarce institutional surface on which scientific distinction is made materially durable. ## Hawking Interment On June 15, 2018, a Service of Thanksgiving for [[wiki/Stephen Hawking|Stephen Hawking]] was held at Westminster Abbey and his ashes were interred in the nave between the graves of [[wiki/Isaac Newton|Isaac Newton]] and [[wiki/Charles Darwin|Charles Darwin]]. The Abbey's account says the Dean led Hawking's family to the committal and identifies the placement explicitly. The Caithness slate stone depicts the equation for Hawking radiation.
